PASSIONATE ABOUT OBEDIENCE

Hi I'm Mary-Lou - the owner and trainer at My Local Dog Trainer.

With over 30 years of experience in training, working, studying, and competing with dogs, I have learned a lot about their behaviour, learning processes, and the importance of individualized methods.

From 2020 to 2024, I fostered puppies from government agencies. One now works at the airport, another in the Australian Army, and another is training to be a search and rescue dog.

These puppies had to meet targets in obedience, scent searches, and agility challenges to advance in their training but also to keep their minds and bodies healthy.

With a wealth of experience, nationally recognised certification, vast knowledge base and incredible mentors my strength is in obedience training and behavioural issues.

If you have a dog that has "severe" behavioural issues, I recommend finding a trainer that specialises in this area.

I provide individual and small group training, ensuring that each dog gets the attention it needs.
